Hello PJ, I see you are a Thomas. Where does your Thomas line come from? My Thomas line is from Bedford Co., VA as far back as pre-Rev. War (Colonial VA). Maybe we're cousins? PJ, I'm sorry I don't have anything on Daniel Coleman EDWARDS, Sr. I do have EDWARDS cousins, but I only go back as far as a Thomas "Tom" EDWARDS who was born in early 1800s, had at least two sons, William Henry and James. William Henry was b. 20 Oct 1853 in Franklin CoVA, m. a SNEAD. If I hear of anything on your Daniel I'll post it to the list. Thanks so much on Mary M. Gibson. I will continue to look. Someone may know the answer. Its a shame to have a stone and no one to connect her ancestory. Jack **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance. (http://money.aol.com/tax?NCID=aolprf00030000000001)

Hi, I am doing some research on a store my parents use to run in Franklin County on Rt. 122. It was called The Hales Ford Store I think back in the 40's. My sister and I were born there and my grandmother Mary Pasley use to own it before my dad bought it. Mary's husband was David Pasley. Does anyone know what year the store was built and what it was used for then? My sister and I would love to know this and any history on it. WE will be visiting Jackson Co., W VA; Franklin Co., and hopefully, Henry Co., Virginia this coming June any suggestions would appreciated. We are interested in Jabel Bowles, one of the pioneer settlers of the Parchment area in Jackson Co., formerly, Mason Co. Jabel's 1870 will being proved about 1 Nov 1875. He married the daughter of Nathaniel Mason and his mother married Nathaniel Mason in Franklin Co. His son, Martin, moved to Clay co. Indiana where my father-in-law [great grand son of Martin] grew up. The goal is to visit some of the areas that they lived in and fill in some of the data gaps. Many thanks, Jeannette Maxey

No, sure don't have anything on John Thomas BOWLES. Have a lot on Bouldin, Bowles, Doyle, Hill, Marshall, Pace, Prillaman, Stanley, Trent, Wyatt. Have some on Branch, Franklin, Jefferson, Stone and other related families. Also have Wyatt back to 1320 and also others related back to Charlemagne. The Bowles line I have goes from Conis Dewey Bowles (my father), Benjamin Alexander Bowles (b. 1877), by Jabel's second wife Ann Prillaman, Jabel Bowles (b.1820), Alexander Hamilton Bowles (b.abt 1793), his father was probably John or James Bowles (b. 1767), his father was Joshua Bowles (b. abt 1736 d.1766), his father was Benjaman Bowles (b.abt 1699 in Henrico County, VA) and his father was a John Bowles (b abt 1675}. Am not absolutely sure past Alexander Hamilton Bowles. I have bits and pieces of documentation. Alexander Hamilton Bowles' father (for sure) is my real hangup. Any information would be appreciated. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Jhstoe@aol.com> To: <vafrankl@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 13, 2008 11:58 AM Subject: Re: [VAFRANKL] Fw: Genealogy research: Bowles/Wright > Greetings, > I was wondering if you might have anything on this family in your Bowles > information? > > Thanks.....Judy > > 1 John Thomas BOWLES b: ABT 1866 in Franklin County, Virginia d: > Unknown > .. +Avie J.
