I am trying to determine if Robert and Elizabeth "Betsy" Luke Guilliams were the parents of William Guilliams. William was born about 1925-1926 and died after 1910. He married Sophronia Hill Jones on Feb 3 1851 in Franklin County. They had 7 children, George Robert, Ferdinand, Betsy, Henry Charles, Sarah/Sallie and Dottie/Dollie. I have found several references on the Internet that Robert was the father but I need documentation for DAR of this relationship. Anne astjohn1@bellsouth.net
I am looking for ANY info on Eli Webb's parents or siblings. Eli was born about 1805, probably in Franklin County. He married Mahala Delancy on 13 Mar 1830 in Franklin County and they had 5 childrem, Fanny, Paulina, William, Flemon/Fleming and Mary Jane. Mahala may have been married before and Delancy may be a married name because she had 4 children by the name of Delancy, Lewis, Mary, Elizzabeth "Betsy" and Hannah "Harriet". They lived in the Callaway area. The earliest record I can locate of Eli is the 1840 Franklin County census Webb, Eli male under 5 1 (William) male 5 & under 10 1(Flemon) male 30 & under 40 1 (Eli) female 5 & under 10 2 (Paulina & Martha Jane) female 40 & under 50 1 (Mahala) Thanks for any assistance you can offer, Anne astjohn1@bellsouth.net

William in Goochland d. 1728 probable son William, but we only have two records of him before he disappears. Then we go to Franklin County. Two there. One disappears about 1780. The other dies in 1817 and names a wife Milly and son William in his will. I think he is probably the son of Isham, but nobody can be sure. If so he was probably born about 1751. This William's children are John High Top etc. and William Jr (sometimes called William Piper) (married Amey Hall) with sons Josiah etc. Wm. Jr (be careful about Jr and Sr because a man can be called both names depending on the time period) was born about 1771-74 and died after the 1850 Census. You only know about half of it. There is also a William (Lewis), William Joel's son William (Chestnut) and so on but these some a little later. Hard to say how they are all related. I think the record suggests that Isham and Robert were brothers -- we match 37/37 and 26/26 on the known descendants. If William is the son of Isham, and I am right about Joab and Lemuel being sons of John High Top, they are -4 to Isham's descendants and -4 to one another, so that seems unlikely genetically. Also, there will be a signature from someone who may possibly be the father, sometimes it turned out to be a brother, son or uncle but there is no way to determine that from the information on the marriage bond itself. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly Merritt" <beverlym@swva.net> To: <vafrankl@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 28, 2008 9:02 PM Subject: Re: [VAFRANKL] Winifred Babbitt and Adda Jarrett > No, this is a marriage bond, just gives basic information like names & > witnesses.
