Can anyone tell me about a skirmish or battle called Kecaughtin during the Civil War? I did read about a fight that took place at Kecaughtin, VA., one day after his letter was written to his wife. I am researching the OVERFELT family of Franklin Co, VA. Specifically, Matthias and Mary Polly (Vineyard) Overfelt. This family is listed on the census reports for Franklin Co. from 1810-1830.
