1. [VAFRANKL] PHELPS - ARRINGTON - FERGUSON - STEWART
2. If someone has time to check, I'd appreciate greatly a lookup in Franklin Co. VA cemetery book(s) and/or 1880 Franklin Co. VA Census: Mary "Polly" (nee Ferguson) PHELPS. Her name is not listed in the published death records book (Franklin Co. VA) -- although she apparently died bet. 1870-1880. She was last recorded in the 1870 Census, Bonbrook Post Office, Franklin Co. VA; she lived with dau.'s family: Samuel ARRINGTON & Evaline (Phelps) ARRINGTON. One Arrington granddau. married William Givens STEWART -- and some of this family removed to Rice Co., Kansas (by late 1880s). Mary "Polly" (Ferguson) PHELPS was born ca. 1787, daughter of John Ferguson Jr. (d. ca. 1828/29 Franklin Co., VA, intestate) & unknown Native American woman. She was the widow of John PHELPS d. 1815 Franklin Co. VA (lived on the Stanton River), who was son of Lieut. John PHELPS Jr. (Revolutionary War) & first wife Jemima TURNER. Thanks for any assistance! 1. [VAFRANKL] Johnson Cemetery On Line
2. Dear Friends and Pals, Well, it is finished. I put Johnson Cemetery in Berrien Co, Niles Tow. on line and it is free to you all. I plan on redoing the map so I can send it by mail. At present it is three BIG pages. I am also putting the finishing touches on a little essay about my Journey With Johnson Cemetery. Hopefully it will explain why I started recording this burial ground and let me gab a bit. I have really tried to get the facts right. If you have any questions please e-mail me directly. Also if you are family please, please write and let me know what you think. Now all you good diggers of family lets get together and keep genealogy free. You know that these records are out there and any one can copy them. (If you are a shut in and cant get out let me know and I will try to help) They can even do that with this record of Johnson Cem. But they cant copy the time, sweat, hours and just plain ol' tenacity it took to put this together. Also they cant copy the pure pleasure at seeing this done. (of course it will never really be done) I once again want to thank Brenda Sears for editing my copies and giving me the platform. Also for her encouragement. THANKS GAL ! Here is the site....click on cemeteries... ##Berrien County USGENWEB Project or you can cut and paste......... http://www.rootsweb.com/~mibreeie/index.htm I also put Higbee out there a couple weeks ago check that one out. I am on my soap box with that one. Maybe it will inspire someone to help! HINT HINT...More to come. Daundra budblossum@aol.com

1. [VAFRANKL] If you write books you know how important this is!
2. It is so easy to do lookup's for other's , I have done this myself . BUT, after I started writing my own books I had no idea the work and the hours you put into such a project. So I try and respect the folks who provide these wonderful books about our communities, I buy the books. Most folks make no money but when folks start copying their work , it makes it even worse. I would have never known just how important this is until I did my own book and I made about 6 cent an hour. PLEASE- I didn't do this for a discussion group, just a friendly reminder. Thanks and have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. [VAFRANKL] Lookup Index from the book "Pulaski County Virginia Deaths 1853-1870"
2. Angela Griffin
3. I have been getting a lot of people email me with a zillion variations of spelling for surnames, names that rhythms with the surnames, and requests for people that died before 1853 or after 1870 so I thought I would make it a little easier. Below is the index from the book. If the surname you are looking for is not listed, it's not in the book. I have been getting nasty emails from people when their relatives are not in the book and "should be". I didn't not write the book and as we all know, some records are not 100% accurate. These books were done by humans and humans make errors. I am only doing FREE lookups in the book. Finally, some of you need to scan your computer for viruses. Harrison b-1849, Cabell Co, VA (WV) married UNKNOWN I have the lineage for the Dillon and Blankenship side of the family.....I am desperate to find the ancestry of William Henry Harrison the Father of this family. Further info I have from an article published by a descendent of the son, #1. Otis Harrison states the following "Family founded in VA, by Benjamin Harrison, born in London, father of Benjamin Harrison the "Signer" and that MY William Henry Harrison was a namesake and cousin of President William Henry Harrison. I do have a photo of My William and he strongly resembles the Presidents.....But I have been unable to find any further info for my William as regards his birth or parentage. I have also gone through all descendent lineage of the original Benjamin Harrison of England, following each mail child (in each generation) until I reach the period of 1810 with no luck. As many of those branches are not complete, I have not been able to locate my William's parents with that backdoor approach either. He may be a part of that family line and is from one of the branches that I have been unable to trace down to 1810. Or the entire story of the relationship may be a family myth of wishful thinking. I do have some photos from the Harrison Family Cemetery in Cabell Co, WV and one of Lucinda Abigail Harrison Which I would be happy to share. ANY HELP, ANY leads would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks, Carrie

3. I'm not a rootsweb member but I would like it if someone could tell me where Standifors Creek is in Franklin County. This is not a virus, I'd just like to know where this place is. It would help my genealogy a great deal. Thanks for any help.
