I just discovered the WWI draft registration cards on Ancestry.com last week. If you do a search for a name and it comes up on a list, the electronic link to the image is 5 or 10 people further up the alphabet. Manually scroll in the alphabetical direction towards your person and you will eventually find his card. What I found was that the cards are arranged by counties and neighborhoods, so as I was looking for one person, I found all of his neighbors, brothers and cousins. I found middle names, next of kin, home addresses and physical descriptions. Granma Barb: I cannot reach any new photos of the picnic not already posted. Are these new ones? And, how can they be reached? Also, if at all feasible, could the shots of Franklin Country host researchers such as yourself be Rena and other more prominent researchers and record keepers willing to stick their necks out be identified in them --if only by given names? Also, can those photos containing any Franklin County folk be separated and put on the Franklin County web site-- as well as identified as much as possible? Miles Staley.
