    1. Re: [VAFLUVAN] Help Wanted - 'The Bulletin'
    2. Hi Michele, I would be glad to do the index for you. I don't have the last "Bulletin" Fall 99 but if you can send me a copy I'd do it. I'm disabled and spend a lot of time on the computer and would love to do something productive instead of playing games. If you find someone else to do this maybe I could do something else to help put information on the web. Have a good day, Janice A. 1. [VAFLUVAN] Samuel Manley, b. 1829/30
    2. Steve & Jodi
    3. Season's Greetings from Canada! Wondered if anyone on the list might be able to place a Samuel MANLEY, born 1829/30 in Fluvanna. In 1850 he was residing with George & Tabitha (MANLEY) McLAIN (p.4/5 #31). Tabitha was a daughter of Micajah & Sarah (SEAY) MANLEY. Who was Samuel MANLEY? Was he a nephew? Could he have been a son of Tabitha's deceased brother, Hezekiah MANLEY? Has anyone found any other references to Samuel? Any help appreciated. Thanks. Steve in Ontario

    3. I may have just accidentally sent notification of a card to this list that I meant to send only to email lists that I host. My daughter came in here while I was trying to do this & I clicked on the wrong button. I tried to stop it, but I'm not sure I made it in time. However, I do wish you all a joyous season & you are most welcome to go and view the card, just keep in mind that it's from me personally then, rather than as the listowner. My apologies to the listowners of these lists; I wish I could get them back, but it's too late. Sorry :) Jeannie ************* Jeannie Watts Now Available: "The Descendants of John Thomas Clay, Jamestown Immigrant and son of Sir John Clay of Wales" Also available: "The Descendants of James Bailey & Lucy Simms" For more info: http://www.trellis.net/users/madamx

    1. [VAFLUVAN] Fluvanna Co. Historical Society Bulletin
    2. Michele
    3. Hi, The following maybe found in the 1999 publication of 'The Bulletin'. Number 67 - "In the Name of God, Amen" by Ellen Miyagawa covers the first 25 years. The bulletin is most helpful in understanding early wills. Number 68 - "Bremo Bluff, A River Village - Part 1" by James Y. Taylor. This bulletin is great because this is the first to have an index. The Fluvanna Co. Historical Society does a wonderful job with their publications. They are a must for anyone researching in Fluvanna and would like to know about life during the building of this small but important area. Membership start Jan 1st. so joining would be great Christmas gift to yourself. Or "Cherokee English lexicon" might work too. Deanna
