I have a receipt dated 25 Mar 1874 for goods sold to Bird Cole in Floyd County. It is signed by James W. Smith. I beleive hime to be: James Washington Smith 6 Oct 1826- 13 Jul 1889 married Emeline E. Light (1832). Will be glad to forward receipt to any descendant of this couple. Janice Smyth
