Hi all, I was reading an article in the Overland Journal from the Oregon Trails Association and they highlighted the story about William Minor Quesenbury (aka Bill Cush). I believe there are alot of Quesenbury researchers on this list so I wanted to throw his name out there just in case anyone has him in their tree. The article says he was born in Arkansas but it doesn't list any of his parentage and he went west in late 1840's/early 1850's and recorded his trips and had drawings. He began working for John Wesley Jones to bring visual representation of the West to eastern audiences. He spent the summer of 1851 traveling the California trail from west to east and making sketches that later would be used in the creation of a gigantic "panorama".
