Small story for you: We lived in Ft. Walton Beach 30 years ago. We came home and had a yard full of water. We pulled the man cover and water went down like a drain in a tub. We get ready to move to NC, and husband has to pick the house out without me. All I said was Get me a house on a hill. And he did. We moved again. Not far away and I am about half a mile from a lake (at the moment empty, dam broke back in 2003.) But we are about 25 ft above Lakelevel when it is there. So I could one day have lake side property, but I seriously doubt it.
