OBIT - JONES, CATHERINE EPPERLY Roanoke Times, The (VA) - June 26, 2000 JONES, Catherine Epperly, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2000. She was predeceased by her parents, Calip and Larina Epperly; a brother, Roy Epperly; a sister, Irene Arthur . She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Pam Jones; two grandchildren, Robbie Jones and Jennifer Jones; four brothers, William Epperly, Curtis Epperly, Cecil Epperly, and Thurman Epperly; one sister, Ruby Hartman; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Betty Jean Arthur. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with the Rev. Harold Lewis officiating. The internment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. She had worked for many years with Lipes Pharmacy and Brambleton Drug Store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen D. Arthur; brother, Roy Epperly; and her parents, Calip and Laurena Epperly. She is survived by her daughter, Betty J. Arthur, of Roanoke; and her brothers and sisters, Thurman R. Epperly, William O. Epperly, Catherine E. Jones, Ruby E. Hartman, Curtis E. Epperly, and Cecil G. Epperly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel by Rev. James Milner. Burial in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lotz Roanoke Chapel.
