Paul, I was born at Twenty Town, I believe that was Linden. We later lived at Laura. I went to school there through the 6th grade. Our mailing address was Inman. We moved to Powell Valley about 1935 or 36. Our next move was to Norton. We were living there when my Daddy was killed in a coal mine in Big Four, West Virginia in 1938. That's the reason we were moving so much, Daddy had to work where he could find work. We then moved back to Powell Valley. Daddy and my Uncle had bought a farm near Greenville, TN and that's when we left Wise Co. about 1939 or 1940. When did you leave Wise County? I still miss the mountains and streams. I don't miss the very cold weather though. I didn't mean to write a book, guess I'm just reliving my childhood.
