Lusk, 78, of Bud, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at his home following a long illness.Born November 28, 1929 at Beartown, he was the son of the late Fred Lusk and Ava Lona Bailey Lusk.Mr. Lusk was a member of the First Baptist Church at Bud. He was a retired mine foreman from Semet-Solvay Coal Company at Caples. He was a former member of the Mullens Masonic Lodge and the Mullens Moose Lodge. He enjoyed bowling and golf. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Glen Lusk, Robert Lusk, Sanford Lusk, Dewey Lusk and Ernest Lusk; and eight sisters, Flossie Crouch, Martha Byrd, Nellie Lusk, Pearl Parson, Helen Mitchem, Evelyn Richardson, Lorraine Roberts and Louise Carson.Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Roberta Gene Carson Lusk of the home; one son, William T. Lusk and his wife Yvonne of Floyd, Va.; three daughters, Debra Jeanne Lusk and Diane Quesenberry, both of Athens, and Linda Clark and her husband Terry of Frametown; six grandchildren, Andy Lusk, Aaron Lusk, Jarrod Lusk, Nathan Clark, Joey Quesenberry and Melissa Quesenberry; three great-grandchildren, Ariel Quesenberry, Alexis Quesenberry and Brandon Cockram; and several special nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Rowland H. In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gary Pack. Larry was a retired employee of the Celanese Corp., a member of the Indian Mills Primitive Baptist Church, and the John Dove Lodge # 78 A.F. & A.M., Peterstown. He was former President of the Eastern Regional Joint Board of the AFL-CIO, and former Secretary and Treasurer of the Local Union # 224, Celanese Corp. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Linda S. Robertson Pack; one son, Ashley Pack and wife Cindy of Peterstown; one daughter, Amy L. Neel and husband Daniel of Troutville, Va.; two stepchildren, Eugenia Perdue and husband Bobby of Narrows, Va., and Frank Vaught and wife Amanda of Staffordsville, Va.; three brothers, Ray Pack and wife Eileen of Beckley, Philip C.
