I think Richard (Dick) was Molly Whitt's father if I remember correctly and would be brother to Carl's father, Jim. My parents knew the families. Molly and I were really good friends and she has a younger sister Barbara Whitt Johnson who lives at Claytor Lake. Molly passed away a few years ago. There were several siblings in that family. Carl will confirm that I believe. Phoebe: Here's what Carl said: My fathers father was Richard Thomas Whitt and he was married Annabell (or Annabelle) Sowers. I think her name was also Mildred. She was from Floyd County. Carl Pearl was a red head, as was my mother. They looked a lot alike.
