Kitterman aged 71 years died yesterday morning at the home of Dr. E. L. Lawrence, 226 Broadway, South Roanoke. Death was sudden, resulting from heart failure. He was 84. Dr. Lawrence, who resided at 2212 Broadway, S. W., had not been active since he was injured in a fall a few months ago. A native of Floyd County, he taught school at Shawsville for a brief time before entering the Medical College of Virginia. Upon his graduation from medical school in 1900, he returned to Floyd County, practicing there until he came to Roanoke in 1919.? As a general practicioner, he enjoyed a large practice in Roanoke. He was a member of the Medical Society of Virginia, the Southwest Virginia Medical Society and the Roanoke Acadamy of Medicine.?
