You have jogged my memory by saying Carl's father was Jim. As I remember, Richard T. Whitt (1870 - 1942) had a son, Ervin Richard "Dick" Whitt (1900 - 1986, married Lyndal Bishop. There were 3 brothers I know of, Jim, Sam and Fred. A daughter, Barbara married Cid Johnson and at one time was in the dairy business in Ferrum. I think we're on the right track.
