    1. [VAFLOYD] Not genealogy--more from Virginia

    3. Well, now I'm an official Virginian. I got baptised this morning when we arrived out at the house to do some more work and found that a pipe under the sink had burst. A regular flood was coming out and the floor was an inch deep. Fortunately, my step daughter was able to get up under there and turn the cutoff valve. I got a plumber on the phone who talked me through cutting of the breaker to the pump and draining the pressure out of the lines (turned off the breaker to the hot water heater, too...) Sooooo....now I have no water at the house, so cleaning is curtailed until the plumber comes out. Of course, I'll have time now to find someone to come and haul off the ton of trash the previous owners left. Fortunately, we did find out that nothing bad was inside the old refrigerator we found tied shut on the back porch. I've watched too many crime shows, but I was wondering if there was a body or something inside...lol. Also have to find a new locksmith as the one I called kept saying "I'll be out tomorrow." As we know, tomorrow never comes! Ah, the joys of new home ownership...ha! Kat

    3. Kat isn't it wonderful to move? When I moved from Dublin to Salem we had lived the same place for 23 years and my health was like I didn't know if the move would be made while I was still alive. My wife had been gone a couple of years and when you need help even money cannot buy moving help. I left more than I should have and brought things that should have been left. Blessed are the needy for they will continue to be needy by fellow man. Thank goodness we have a LORD that makes a way when we need it. Give your daughter-in-law a hug as most daughter-in-laws seem to give a different attiditude. Seems you are being a self doer in a crash course session and that is a good trade to learn. You'll make it.
