    3. John: Seems to be quite a stir over good old southern food. I like turnip or mustard greens, but never developed a taste for spinach. I just went out and scraped the snow away and found a big batch of mustard greens for supper - NOT. All our snow is gone, but we did open up a can of mustard greens to go with our "Yankee" pork chops. Yes, I do like buttermilk. I like buttermilk and cornbread. About once a month my wife makes up a bunch of hoe cakes to go with our buttermilk and pintos. There's no way to get good buttermilk in Ohio - just the artificial city stuff. The farmers are not allowed to sell unpasteurized milk to the public. My mother used to make butter and buttermilk and her version of "cottage cheese" - it was made kind of in a loaf and thick enough to slice off. I loved it all. That's not bad for a person who will not drink "sweet milk" at all. Enough of this. I have to get ready for church. 3. Mmmmmm did like that buttermilk. Not the kinda sour stuff they sell in the stores now a days. Pinto beans, cornbread and a cold glass of REAL butter milk sure sounds laruping good to me.
