Speaking of babies, on Xmas eve 1933 my mother's best friend, came to our home as she often did. They began talking about me, my sister and brother spending the night with her. naturally we wanted to be at home on that special night. All we were thinking about was Santa coming that night with toys for us. Mama and her friend kept on and on and we finally decided we would go home with her. We were awake bright and early on xmas morning and ran all the way home. There we found Mama in bed and holding a baby girl in her arms. We thought Santa brought her a baby until we grew older and knew better. She was the last child and we spoiled her rotten, as the old saying goes.
