Irene, Yes that is the family. I found Mattie and 5 children living with her in King Co., Washington. Am wondering when Armstead A. Booth died and where. The last child Hary L. Booth was listed as being born in VA in the 1910 census and in WA in the 1920 census. The last I found on Armstead was the 1900 census in VA. Irene, Where did you get the information on William M. Booth. A lot of the family went to Washington state some time between 1900 and 1910. I found Mattie, Armstead's wife along with some of the children in King County, WA. Also found Edwin C. Booth in King County, WA. John in Lawrence, KS researching Sowers, John, Miller, Booth. Hello Irene, was just going thru some of my old emails that I had saved and came across this one. I finally found Armistead and Mattie in King County, Washington. They are both buried in the Hillcrest Burial Park, Kent, Washington. So are a number of their sons and their daughter. I have pictures of the headstones if you would like them. One of my youngest sister's son sent me an airline ticket to go out there for Christmas last year. Well it was actually his wife, butr she put it on his credit card. Gladys Mae's daughter in law took us down to the library in Seattle. Boy that is a hugh place. Icouldn't find an obit for Mattie, but did find her in the WA death index. Had found her in the 1910 and 1920 census records so we went out to the federal depisitory to see if they could tell us where the Spring Brook Dist. of King county was. After finding a gentleman who was very helpful we found it was in and/or Kent, WA, which is just south of Seattle. From there we found the location of a library in that area and was fortunate enough to find a cemetery inscription book. It listed nearly the whole family and gave the name of the cemetery. lNext step to find location of cemtery. It was in Kent so the next day it was off to Kent and the Hillcrest Burial Park. The people in the office were very helpful and gave me a map that showed where the Booths were buried. So I got pictures of all of the headstones. Unfortunately the stone only contained the yr of birth and death. But what the hay that was more than I had before. Also found out a couple of the boys went to California. Can send youthe complete rund down on the family if you like. Haven't sen u lately on the VAFLOYD list. It had been rather quiet of late. hope this finds you in good health. I don't know if you are continuing your wife's genealogy or not. She had sent me this informtion and since I have found the family in the state of Washington. Most of them aree buried in the Hillcrest llBurial Park in Kent, WA. I took digital photos of the headstones if you are interested.
