Paul, this is what I have. First I have a question about his name and wonder if I can safely go with Eli. See below my notes under his name. John Spangler lists his name as Elkanah. The marriage record lists it as Ell. Occupation: Blacksmith Barbara Stanley says someone, probably a family member, told her his name was Elmer H. "Bud" Collins, but she neglected to cite the source. His name has been shown many ways on the following sources, Birth 1868 - E. Collins Census 1870 - Elhanon Census 1880 - Elhannon Census 1890 - Eli H. Marriage 1891 - Ell H. Census 1900 - Elm___ _ (can't read) Census 1910 - Elm___ _ (Ancestry.com says this Elmoon H. He is listed as 30 but would have been 42) Eli/Elmer's parents were James Matthew Collins and Sarah Ann Conner. James was the s/o Thomas Collins and Elizabeth Boothe and I show her father as Abner Boothe. Alice Walters was the d/o Jacob B. Walters & Elizabeth Aliff. Jacob's parents William Curtis Walters, Sr. & Mary "Polly" Martin. William Curtis Walters s/o George Walters & Christina/Christiana Crewey. Mary "Polly" Martin d/o Phillip Martin & Catherine Penner. Catherine d/o Peter Penner & Margaret Smith. Jacob B. Walters was married (1) to Hannah Iddings, their children, Elizabeth "Betsy" Walters Abigail Walters Mary Walters Christina Walters His 2nd marriage was to Elizabeth Aliff, their children, Matilda L.
