EPPERLEY, THOMAS M. BLACKSBURG-Thomas McKinley Epperley, age 94, died Tuesday evening in a Blacksburg hospital. A native of Floyd County he was a son of the late Joe H. and Cora Bowers Epperley. He was a retired farmer. Preceded in death this year by his wife of 71 years Essie Mae Trail Epperley. Surviving are four sons, Raymond Epperley, Newport, Va.; Luther Epperley and Edgar Epperley, both of Blacksburg, Va; Kenneth Epperley, Kernersville, N.C.; one daughter Elizabeth E. Hedge, Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Covey, Porstmouth, Va.; and Mrs. Mary Ellen Linkous, Dublin; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel Pembroke with the Rev. Dewey Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Christiansburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
