He was the son of William M Agee and Nancy Robertson and married a Minerva E Sweeney, daughter of Edmund Sweeney and Adeline Thomas. Both Minerva and Everette died young; she in February of 1891 and he in April of the same year. I've been told a very interesting but wholly unsubstantiated story about his death, which goes as follows. Minerva died either while giving birth to my great aunt Ella Mae Agee or shortly thereafter. Everette was said to have been caught in bed with another man's wife and shot dead. Needless to say, this was never a story that my great-grandmother, Gypsie Gaye Agee, told at the family picnic! I would be very interested in any information that anyone has about Everette and Minerva and their tragically short lives.
