The health of this community is very good at present. Visiting and canning beans are the order of the day. Those visiting at T.H. Altizer's Sunday were Mrs. Annie Jewell and children, Oilie, Nellie, and Frank, Mr. and Mrs. John Jewell and children, Fred and Helen, Mrs. Lucy Hatcher, Miss Verna Bishop and Mr. Charlie Howard, Mr. Roscoe Hatcher and Miss Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Scaggs and son, Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Scaggs and children, Nellie, Virginia and Calvin, Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Altizer and children. May, Donnie, Alva, Annie and Paul. They had kodak pictures made in the afternoon. All seemed to enjoy the day. Several from around here attended preaching at Copper Valley Sunday. We were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Bettie Bishop, also the death of Mr. Cal Duncan. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Akers and daughter Arba were visiting at Mr. Humphrey Scaggs Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dink Scaggs and children were visiting at Mrs. Peradine Scaggs Saturday night and Sunday. As I only asked for a small space, I had better quit for this time, hoping to see this in print. AN OLD SUBSCRIBER (August 9,1923)
