Carol, I have a copy of The Descendants of Henry Bishop I 1757-1839 by Joyce Akers Buckert. She has included James Cullen Bishop b. 2/4/1833, d. 2/28/1920 m. 3/9/1860 in Indian Valley Ruth Sumpter, dau. of Edmund Sumpter, Jr. and Delilah Eskew. Says she was the 7th of 10 children. Says she died at child birth of Harvey on 3/4/1867. Other children of "Cull" and Ruth were a male child born 12/1/1861; Nancy D. (Nannie) b. 2/29/186, m. Eli D. Wade; Meldonia b. 11/13/1868? (probably should be 1865) m. Charles L. Turpin and Harvey Berman b. 3/4/1867, m. Frances Sina Dulaney. "Cull" then married Louticia A. Simpkins on May 13, 1868. Hope some of this helps.
