Peggy, Rather than you arrive in Floyd and be disappointed at the Library, I shall let you know it is under extensive expansion and the genealogy room is not open for now. Hopefully, it will be only a few more weeks until it's all complete. But the Floyd Court House is one of the greatest I've ever done research in. The staff is so NICE! Happy Hunting.. Genevieve, Thanks for letting me know about the library. It's disappointing but I'll probably be back in the fall so I'll check it out then.
