I'm still off line at home. I guess i need a break.. the phone co., must think so at any rate. They finally sent someone out yesterday, and I now have a clear dial tone. BUT, i can't get the modem to connect. I wonder what happened to "it's all my fault".. as the techie first said.. he was supposed to put a work order in, a month ago.. and not till I was in a public place fussing about my phone, and lo and behold a service man came to my table and ask for my phone #. he got someone to come right out. Bless his heart, he could have walked out and acted like he didn't hear me. Anyway, i now have a clear dial tone. So the next step is to call a techie in the day time during the week..
