Well, I am back home and online. Have 122 emails in my mail box. Had a wonderful time, but would have liked it more if the cruise had went to more than just the lower islands of Alaska. Did ge to see the govenors mansion in Juneau which by the way ifd land locked Our trour guide said the only way to get into Jueau was by boat, plane or birth canal. It is a nice place to visit but am not a great fan of their weather. It was in lower 60sd and cloudy most of the time. The first night out we got caught betwee and high and low pressure system and a lot of us in our group never made it to the first formal dinner. Hope everyone has been behaving themselves while I was gone. John Sowers Lawrence, KS -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter. We are a community of 6 million users fighting spam. John, we've really done nothing but sit around and wait for you to get back and report in! Welcome back and glad you had a good trip. My son and family, who live on the lake where the governor's real home is located outside Anchorage, report the temps have been in the high 70s to 80 and sunny. Next time fly up to Anchorage and take the train to Fairbanks with a stop at Denali Wilderness Area. Then in Fairbanks take an old paddle wheeler down the river a little way. That's a great tour package and you see an entirely different part of AK. Here I just want to get back east again to SWVA - I spent enough years in ole AK. Kay don't suppose I will ever get that far away again. ole Arthur I Tus is really holding me down. Has settled in my hips as well as the knuckles on my hands. Wish the ship had went further north inside of stopping at Victoria, B C. But guess it was a requiremtnt that they make a port of call in at least one foriegn country. But enjoyed the scenery any was, especiall the glaciers in Edicott Arm. Saw some seals on a couple of ice flows.
