Thanks, Rena! This is the first of two events in Clay's honor this coming week. The memorial this Sunday is being hosted by my mother in law's church, Central Methodist, in Radford. They are such sweet people there and wanted to do something really nice for June. She's been a member there for 40+ years. This will be more of a reception than an actual service--just a really nice chance for people to come and pay their respects and show her alot of love. We'll all be there and are going to set up a display of some of Clay's favorite belongings and some photos of his life. On May 9th, we will have the family celebration, up at the farm in Gunton Park (up above Max Meadows for those who know the area.) Clay always hated funerals and said that he only wanted a HAPPY day in his memory, so we're going to gather up there at the farm house in our blue jeans and have an old fashioned pot luck dinner. The food was always his favorite part of any family gathering, so we will have our fried chicken and sweet tea out in the sunshine in his honor! Please keep the weather, for that day, in your prayers!
