Saw where there was an F-0 tornado Sunday in Floyd! That is a VERY unusual event. On the overall scale, it was pretty minor, but still sort of odd to have an actual tornado event in the mountains. It's been 10 years since the last one. This one just blew up an outhouse, knocked down a fence and took out a chimney. We were driving home from Radford about that time and went through the line of thunderstorms that spawned the tornado. We were out on Rt. 100, going over the one lane bridge and literally couldn't see the road. I was having to drive about 10 mph because the rain was coming down so hard and the sky was just black. It was the sort of storm we used to see more of in Florida!! Strange weather!
