For about 40 years I have been looking for the last name of Daniel Spangler’s wife Sarah. Daniel, Jr. was born 1747, died 16 Feb 1823 buried Pine Creek Cemetery. Sarah born 1753, died 8 May 1839 buried Pine Creek Cemetery. I recently saw on Rootsweb that Sarah’s last name was Bolt and born 3 May 1753 and married Daniel Spangler 3 Nov 1782 in Montgomery County, VA. I searched the record indicies in the clerk’s office in Christiansburg (and in Floyd) but could find no record of the marriage. I have tried to contact the guy who posted the info on Rootsweb but to no avail. Maybe the record is in some other County.
