    3. Betty, I was born and grew up in Floyd County and I have never heard of a Moran School. Where did you learn about this school.     3. Bill, My mother-in-law Sarah Jones Wimmer kept a journal of sorts. She wrote that in 1923 that she went to Moran School in Floyd Co. for two months before the family moved to Franklin Co. That she was in the first grade. Her sister Dora also went to the Moran School. That the teacher was Okie Nicholas. She remember that the teacher gave everyone a yellow pencil. The Jones family lived on the Moran Farm.
