I am so exited for you Kat AND family!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Allison Kat Fulcher <kfulcher55@gmail.com> wrote: Back by popular demand...we are headed back to the lovely town of Hillsville again! Since my kids have a 4 day weekend off from school, we're going to make a whirlwind trip (1500 miles) up and back to see what else we can get done. My hubby gets to go this time, so we will take his big old pick up truck up there and haul off the mountain of trash the previous owners left us. One thing I LOVE about small towns is that you find out all the good dirt pretty quickly. Turns out that the reason we got our dream house SO quick and SO reasonably was that the folks who lived there had reportedly been dabbling in illegal substances and decided to git while the gittin' was good since they had attracted the attention of the neighbors...and the law. Besides, it turns out that the hubby had apparently (according to town people) found himself a new gal pal, so he was ready to deal and get on the road. Oh, well...their loss is our gain. Of course, they high tailed it out of there so quick, they left all their trash, but we can cope with that on this trip. This will be my 5th trip to VA in 4 months (along with a trip to Chicago and one to Chattanooga, TN.) I am turning into the quite the world traveler...ha! Can't wait to finally get moved into my country house and find the time to STAY put! I'm gonna put me a rockin' chair on that front porch and sip outta my jug of thornapple juice while the watermelon gets cold in the creek! Yee haw! Paul, The names looked so closely spelled that I just had to ask IF it couild be. My Samuel was born in Vermont Sept, 1800 and on his marriage cert. his name is spelled Sherburne and this was in Vermont in 1826. He married Philinda George. This is why I was named Linda, Philinda was called Linnie. These are my GG grandparents on my grandmother Quesenberry side of the family. Grandma Carrie Ousterhout Quesenberry married John William "Price" Quesenberry, S/O William & Eva Jane Slusher Quesenberry. Could you follow all that? This genealogy takes a lot of time amd researching in so many places. Kat, the Family Fish House is in the same little shopping center where we saw the $1.48 ground chuck. They are closed Monday and Tuesday, always have an after church crowd on Sunday. There is a Mexican restaurant next door, very good food, reasonable. On the other side is a sports bar. I haven't been there and don't know if any food specialties. :-) Mary Anne Kat Fulcher <kfulcher55@gmail.com> wrote: my mother in law told me about that place last time I was up there. You can also tape the manuals in their little plastic sleeves to the top or side of an appliance, won't work for a built in, like dishwasher. In that case I have them on a little used shelf in my cabinets. Along with the booklets that come with small appliances like coffe maker, that one can be left with the coffee can and filters. -----Original Message----- >From: KMorris568@aol.com >Sent: Jan 14, 2008 9:00 PM >To: vafloyd@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [VAFLOYD] not genealogy--repair men > >Hi Mizz Kat -- I second Lois's suggestion.
