Good Morning List, The other day I was searching for the parents of Joseph Quesenberry, and was told that they were James Quesenberry and Elizabeth ? . Some ond came through and said that James Quesenberry. S/O George and Martha Slinker Quesenberry was married to Elizabeth Rhodes. Where did they find that he was married to a Rhodes? In doing my researching I can only find that he was married to Elizabeth. If you can tell me where this Rhodes surname came from I will put it in my records. Thank you all for the help you have given me. Linda (Quesenberry) Hackney lmqh@sbcglobal.net

I want to thank you all for helping me with Joseph Quesenberry yesterday. Someone gave me the name of Elizabeth as Elizabeth Rhodes. She was the wife of James Quesenberry S/O George and Martha Slinker Quesenberry. I would like to know where you got the name of Rhodes for the surname of Elizabeth. Thank you all again Linda (Quesenberry) Hackney

There is no Pulaski in Floyd, it is in Pulaski County, right next door to Floyd County. I was born in Pulaski (town), Pulaski Co., VA. I have your Joseph married to Thursey on June 11, 1851 in Pulaski county. And have two children only: James F. born Dec. 31, 1853 and Martha P. born in 1856. For neither do I have a spouse. I don't know if this is correct but I have Joe's parents as James and Elizabeth ?surname Quesenberry and Joe has 8 siblings. This may have come from studying the censuses for Pulaski Co., but not sure. Not my lines. -----Original Message----- >From: "Mrs. Hackney" <lmqh@sbcglobal.net> >Sent: Feb 6, 2008 5:47 PM >To: vafloyd@rootsweb.com >Subject: [VAFLOYD] Searching for Joseph Quesenberry > >Hello List Members, > I am looking for the parents of this Joseph Quesenberry. Bobby -in-Florida sent me an update to our Master burial list for Floyd County. I loaded it this evening. http://www.rootsweb.com/~vafloyd/floydcountyvirginiadeathlistings262008.htm
I have been working on a project for the Floyd Cty, Va page that is a compilation of al the burials located in Floyd County Va. proper.? So far, I have listed over 1100 ancestors and still have many thousand to add as I find the time.? The following link shows my efforts thus far.? Feel free to contact me?? Latbrazz33@aol.com? if you have definitive burial listings that you would like to see added.? It is a slow process but definitely worth it.? I have done this on the Pulaski Cty, Va site and have listed about 23,000 so far.? Hope something here helps---Bobby-n-Florida http://www.rootsweb.com/~vafloyd/floydcountyvirginiadeathlistings262008.htm ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever. My Quesenberry file notes Joseph A. Quesenberry, Jr., who married Thursey Rogers, as the son of Joseph A. Quesenberry, Sr. who married "Elizabeth" - but I do not have a maiden name for Elizabeth. His grandfather was George Quesenberry & Martha Slinker . . . grandfather was Aaron Quesenberry & Joyce Dudley.
