The past several days I have been working on the William Mathew Scaggs family. in 1910 and 1920 the census has it SKAGGS. Does anyone know the 'correct' spelling? Also the childrens names.seem to be on conflict also. I have 1. Eva Marie married a Duncan, no first name and no dates. 2. Sadie Ila married twice, once to Samuel Bowman and then to Hoover Roberts, I found a Samuel Bowman wife Ila in Roanoke in the 1930 census. 3. Marshall no dates. 4. Iva married to a Carroll no first name or dates. 5. Miller b. abt 1910 WV (1920 census). 5. Dallas b. abt 1912 WV 6. Dallas b. abt 1912 WV and 7. William b. abt 1914 WV The 1910 & 1920 WV census does not list Eva Marie and I hav not birth date for her. The 1920 census of WV does list a Orby son b. abt Sep 1915.
