I realize that you probably are not related to this line but the Chadwells are difficult to trace . I have found Bryant Chadwell in the records of Fauquier and I believe him to be the son of John. Bryant's daughter Elizabeth b 1810 married Stephen Allison in Fauquier in 1840 they were both about 40. They were not land owners but rather leased land in the part of Fauquier that bordered Stafford County. I believe that Bryant was married to a Margaret Gray and that there were 4 children although thus far I have only discovered the name of 2 my Elizabeth and Bryant Jr. Does this family fit into the Stephens and could you send me the documentation for it it might help break down this brick wall of mine.
