To all Fauquier "listers" : I'm very interested in learning whether anyone knows of any plat type land maps (showing ownership of land, and owners names) of Fauquier County 1800 or prior ?? (I haven't heard of any such maps, but maybe some of you have). I have a copy of the Eugene Scheel map, and through the gracious assistance of a list member I recently obtained a copy of Josiah Dickinson map locating land some leases/ownership within the Manor of Leeds (basically prior to 1800). The section of Fauquier County in which I am most interested would be along the course of Goose Creek, as it flows from its' headwaters in Manassas Gap just west of Linden, into Loudoun County (at about 5 miles west of Middleburg; or a mile west of the former Atoka). If there are any such, please advise a source for the maps. Thanks very much !
