Some of us researchers live far away from the East Coast and do not fully understand the geography of Virginia, including place names. Being puzzled about the e-mail to the list which mentioned Heritage Society in Marshall [which at first I thought was Marshall, TX], I did a google.com search, and guess what--there are Heritage Societies all over the world--New Zealand, Australia!!! etc. Finally, I found one which seemed to fit Fauquier Co.
