While researching my childrens' ancestors on their father's side, I found they are descended from a William Burgess, Sr. who was born between 1760 and 1766 in VA. He married Elinor Unknown. This family apparently moved to Rutherford Co., NC sometime in the late 1790's. Children of William and Elinor were William, Jr., John, Nancy, Frances, James, King N., Elizabeth, and Samuel. Any Fauquier Co. ties here? Thanks, Sandra
