I sent to the Fauquier circuit court clerk for a copy of a deed "Grigsby to Smith". It turns out to be a deed from Taliaferro Grigsby to Augustine Smith dated 26 Aug 1786. Since neither of these men are in my direct line, I would be happy to send it to a descendant of either. Please contact me off-list. Some of the wording: "....deliver unto Augustine Smith the following articles (viz) a certain black horse rising four years old. Also all and every other article I have now in possession together with all my part of my Father's Estate............." Sandra Stephens
