William Flowers is on the 1759 tax list and the last entry Alcock notes for him is 1788. There are also Mary, John, and Andrew Flowers noted in Alcock. He also includes a William and Willis Flowers from Andrew's 1788 tax list, but this is an error--William Willis was in Andrew's household in 1798. Does anyone else have a Flowers from this area in his/her line? I think Andrew may be the Andrew who appears lin the 1810 cenus in Old Pendleton district SC next to a younger Andrew Flowers--and that this younger Andrew moved Gwinnett Co. GA by 1830. William, the elder, would appear to be the father of these Flowers. I have the references from John Alcock's "Fauquier Families"--but does anyone have the full record of any of those references or some other indication of Flowers in Fauquier that Alcock overlooked? Note also that there are Flowerees in Fauquier--but this is a completely different family! Also researching in Fauquier: Daniel Greenwood/Elinor Fields. Re: Coons: Is the Joseph Coons/Coones in Culpeper from Fauquier? In 1784 tax list I found Broderick Mason in his household in Culpeper--and in 1783 Broderick was listed in Fauquier, in his own household, but under 21. Just curious--don't think there's a connection beyond the fact that Broderick worked for Joseph Coons--but one never knows! Karen Dale
