See below information about a brother of my ancestor Henry Rogers. I have not yet seen the affidavit mentioned, but here a lease is mentioned as late as 1837. On 5 May 1837, Stephen Rogers swore in Switzerland Co., IN that he was a son of John Rogers and a brother of Henry Rogers, both late of Fauquier Co., VA. The statement refers to a lease involving the three Rogers and Lord Fairfax (Leed's Manor lease - my note). The affidavit is recorded in Fauquier Land Cases 1833-1859, p. 367. And then this is wording from John Rogers' will of 1794: Item I give and bequeath to my beloved son Henry Rogers my Lot and lease of Land that I now live on in during his life and to his wife Sarah Rogers in during her Widowhood, provided she the said Sarah Rogers should outlive her husband, and after their deaths I give the above said Lease to my Grandson John Rogers for the term of the term of the lease of land aforesaid........
