Sorry I can't help with identifying David's wife, but thought I should pass along a name change found in the middle of a chancery court bill of complaint. The suit is styled Evans v. Fairfax, Frederick Superior Ct. Ended Causes 1799-001, local reel #235, frames 155-158: In 1765 Thomas Hutton received a 3-lives lease from G.W. Fairfax for about 80 acres (probably located in today's Loudoun Co.). Hutton assigned his lease in 1796 to Garlock Sickler. A few lines later the bill says Garlock Sickler, otherwise called John Steigler, assigned the land to Samuel Evans. The last line on page 3 of this bill reads: The consent of David... then page 4 is missing, or was not microfilmed. Sorry. I don't know any more about the Stiglers. The point being, look also for Sickler, and Steigler, along with Stigler. Ms. Marty Hiatt, CGRS "Document what you find, listen to what you are told, and especially, love and respect your work."
