As with every genealogy Crump on every Stump has some mistakes and omissions however it does compile a great deal of data on the Crumps. How far back does the Blackwell/ Crump info go. While I am related to the Crumps and used some of the info in the book as documentation for having an ancestor added to the DAR list of Patriots, my line is not one of those that migrated to Fauquier. I would use the info in the book as guide rather than gospel( the book had my ancestor listed under the incorrect mother). Interesting side note about the Crump line Thomas Crump, the original immigrant, married Elizabeth Buck ,the daughter of Rev Richard Buck who was the man who performed the marriage of Pocahontas and John Rolfe. There was just a long article in the Magazine of Virginia Genealogy on the Buck/ Crump land holdings . Susan
