For those interested in some families who may have moved west and south, to Louisa Co., VA, this is a good website: trevilians.com It is a genealogy website for Louisa Co (VAGenWeb)., and some generous contributors have posted MANY early [not all] deeds and has provided an index--not every name, but good enough. The main contributor is Janice Abercrombie, whose name I seem to remember from some Virginia publications, especially those by Iberian Publishing Co., which has changed its name to something like New Papyrus Publishing Co., seemingly specializing in books about the South. Go to the index, find the span of surnames for which you are searching, get on the right webpage and use your FIND button. A number of Moorman [and variant spellings] are found in the deeds. I have not looked at the other documents, as I got excited about finding this website so full of information.
