E. W. -- > Thanks for the extra info . I did find a bit of info I had overlooked in an article about a grandson of my BENJAMIN & RACHEL . Says tht RACHEL was the sister of a JUDGE DICKS in North Carolina . So BEN & RACHEL are most probably the couple { parents } I am looking for to connect to my DAVID in Indiana . I just havent been able to find census records on ancestry - for BENJAMIN . He may have died before 1850 . Most probably they also came from Virginia . I called the St Louis county Library yesterday . They have the Encyclopedia of American Quaker Gen on cd & also some other books . Guess I will need a whole day or 2 to check these out . This list has some very knowledgable people on it and ALL information shared is edifying for our mutual learning of our history in this great land . Love the good ole USA . :) I have a whole new door opened up for learning . I knew nothing about Quakers but guess I will be learning . Thanks to all for a point in the right direction . sheri
