Fellow Tippet/Coppage/Strother/Foxworthy/Dunnington/Smallwood/Cave/etc. researchers: Please be advised that I have just posted a major update to my web page. Point your browser to: http://members.cox.net/johntippet/ and click on Tippet Genealogy. Included with this update are the following: (1) A new descendancy narrative of the descendants of William Tippett and Sarah Hill of Fauquier County, VA. Included are 372 descendants of William and Sarah through 4 generations. The most significant addition contained in this narrative is new information on William and Sarah's son, John Tippett. As it turns out, he migrated to Harrison County, KY, where several of the children of his sister, Mary (Tippett) Coppage had migrated. Prominent places in this narrative are Fauquier County, VA; Harrison County, KY, Caldwell, Daviess, Morgan and Moniteau Counties, MO; and Brown County, IL. (2) A very extension set of census transcriptions. This includes all census years from 1810 to 1930 (less 1890) and contains all of the descendants through 4 generations that I have been able to find. Also included are 3-generation census summaries of the grandchildren of John and Sarah that show at a glance which censuses I have found and which remain to be found. If anyone reading this can fill in any of the missing ones, please contact me with that information. (3) Transcriptions of 3 Tippett wills from Fauquier County, VA. (4) Marriages records of Tippett descendants for Fauquier County, VA (from 1750 through 1850), Harrison County, KY (1794 through 1893) and Illinois (1763 through 1900). (5) Transcriptions of Tippett descendants deeds from Fauquier County, VA (surveys and patents only included at this point in time) and Harrison County, KY (1794 through 1894). (6) Transcriptions of the Fauquier County, VA personal property tax lists. Included are the surnames Brawner, Cave, Combs, Dunnington, Hill, Holmes, Payne and Pettitt for the years 1782 to 1807; Rousseau, Smallwood and Strother for the years 1782 to 1819; and Tippett, Coppage and Foxworthy for the years 1782 to 1845. (7) Transcriptions of the Harrison County, KY tax books for the years 1809 to 1845 for the surnames Tippet, Coppage and Winn. (8) Transcriptions of the Nicholas County, KY tax books for the years 1800 to 1856 for the surnames Dunnington and Tippett. Enjoy! John Charles Tippet johntippet@cox.net
