One will find lists of publications or films for Fauquier Co. tax lists by doing a place search in the Family History Library Catalog. The link to the catalog is on the lower right corner of www.familysearch.org When you access that link, type in fauquier and then virginia (although I do not believe there is a similar place name anywhere but Virginia) Go down the long list of topics until you reach the topic Taxation. Click on that. There are several books - one by Sparacios and another by Joan Peters (recently published). I don't believe either of these publications has been filmed. However, there are films of tax lists available for short-term loan through a family history center near your home (we hope). The years vary. I believe Joan Peters' book has been compiled from some recently discovered loose papers pertaining to Fauquier Co. I think it is available for sale through Willow Bend books, Westminster, MD. Fauquier Co. was formed from Prince William Co. but there are some gaps in the Prince William records because of destruction of some documents. Woe is me!!! E.W.Wallace
