I am looking to connect with anyone who has information about Ezekiel Carter who was born in Fauquier County about 1813. He was in Baltimore County, MD in 1870 and died there in 1900. Ezekiel had a son Richard, who I believe may be my 2nd great-grandfather. Richard would have been born between 1850-1855 depending on which census record is used. I believe Richard married Emma Bowen before 1882 (but after the 1880 census) in Baltimore County, around Reisterstown. If they didn't marry they did have a son, Arthur John Carter, born December 11, 1882. Emma was remarried by 1888 to James Solomon Sentz. What happened to Richard? Did they divorce or did he pass away? Also, a Y-DNA surname project for Carter has been started, and I would like to find someone who descends from Ezekiel so that we could compare notes.
