I have just put up two temporary web pages with pictures of Leeds Manor One shows the area around my home by the G Richard Thompson Wildlife Management area on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Blue Mountain) The first photo is a large panorama taken in 1914 before there were any trees on this side of the mountain. You can clearly see Bushy Mountain and Naked Mountain on the other side of Leeds Manor Road. A second photo taken from Bushy Mountain across Leeds Manor Rd looking back up towards the location of the first photo and a third panorama taken part way up Blue Mntn looking back towards Bushy Mntn as closely approximating the first panorama as possible with all the trees there now. The page is online at www.yesterbooks.com/leedsmanor.htm The second page was in response to a list member asking about John Rogers 1763 Leasehold on Buck Mountain. I could not readily get to the top of Buck Mountain as the gravel road turns to mud and I don't have 4WD but I took some photos from Leeds Church on Leeds Manor Rd north of Hume looking towards the mountain and some more as far as I could go on Leeds Chapel Road which leads up the side. These pictures are at www.yesterbooks.com/buck.htm Paul Redden yesterbooks.com
