Hi, Dogpile uses a search matrix very much like Google. I prefer Google's format. And, please do more than the regular search. All family researchers should check out "Google Local." Go to Google (http://www.google.com) and then click on "more>>" Then scroll to the link for "Google Local" which has a compass icon over it. Click it. In the "What" field enter "genealogy" without the quote marks. In the "Where" field enter a town and state you wish to research (I used "Warrenton, Virginia" - without the quote marks - to test it. There is a new contender, though: A9 from Amazon.com: http://wwwA9.com It has some neat features like saving searches and bookmarking~ Kathleen Bowen Ridge Manor, Florida - The heart of the beautiful Nature Coast katbowen@earthlink.net or kathleen.bowen@gmail.com FTM Pages: http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/b/o/w/Kathleen-E-Bowen Your daily life is your temple and your religion. - Kahlil Gibran ----- Original Message ----- From: Hdanw@aol.com To: VAFAUQUI-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, September 29, 2004 2:29 PM Subject: Re: [VAFAUQUI] URL to the 1738 Prince William rent rolls Tell you what.
